Introducing our 2025 Mid-Season Collection

We have created designs with our long-term collaborators Le Tings and Julien Colombier for this limited collection, and we are introducing our interlock sweatshirt which is a brand-new style for 2025.

Interlock Sweatshirt

The 100% natural cotton interlock fabric is extremely soft, perfectly showcasing the difference in quality between naturally and conventionally grown cotton. The fabric is a little looser than standard jersey knit, making it feel airier. It’s perfect for the milder autumn and spring conditions, and the simple boxy shape is perfect for everyday use.

Julien Colombier / Interaction Multiple

Based in Paris, France, Julien Colombier was born in 1972. He is known for his unique world of painting, using pastels, chalk, and acrylics on black backgrounds. His densely compressed paintings, created by the repetitive fabrication of geometric motifs and plants, have a figurative yet graphically abstract quality.

For this series, Julien has chosen one of his favourite art pieces, which was part of his most recent 2023 "Hopepunk" show in Japan. It features textured grids and gravitating patterns in his colourful signature style.

Le Tings / Green Market Pattern

Harris Elliott of Le Tings explains: "We have used a digital clock font that reminded us of the early eighties. The phrase ‘Keep Ya Head Up’ is from a song by the rapper Tupac. We use words that link to heads and necks on these scarves as it is a playful way to connect culture and cloth.”

The Inoue Brothers... / Logo Embroidery

Our iconic Black Fist Logo was created shortly after we decided to start our social design studio in 2004. The initial concept of a fist came from the revolutionary ideology of the civil rights movement in the USA, led by Martin Luther King Jr. Another key influence was the symbol of feminism that had been ingrained in our minds from a young age, seeing this symbol outside the women’s shelter near our childhood home.

Hoodie

Our heavy-weight French terry used for these hoodies is knitted using 3-ply yarn, making the fabric denser and therefore warmer. It’s perfect for the autumn and winter conditions, and the simple design is perfect for everyday use.

Hoodie with Ghanaian Kente

The Ghanaian Kente cloth dates back to the 17th century and is still widely handwoven on traditional looms throughout Ghana. For this collaboration with Le Tings, creator Harris Elliott has chosen the iconic three colours of the Ghanaian flag: red, gold, and green. On our journey to Tamale in north Ghana, we met with the beautiful workshop that has handwoven the Kente cloth used for this project.

The Black Fist Logo symbolises revolution and unity and embodies our desire to challenge the conventional business model that prioritises financial profit over people and social justice.
