Suri alpaca is one of two breeds of alpaca. It is known for its characteristic fleece coat, which is very long-haired and silky. The Suri alpaca breed is thought to be less than 10% of the global alpaca population, making it one of the rarest fine-fibre animals in the world. Products made from Suri alpaca have an unmistakable lustre and silky hand feel. Our Suri is around 25 microns, making it the finest in the world.

Suri Cardigan

Our knitted garments using long-haired Suri alpaca are The Inoue Brothers’ original. We developed a yarn which allows the super silky Suri fibre to be knitted in a design that creates a fur-like texture on the outside due to the extra long hair of Suri alpaca.

This loose-fit cardigan is our bestseller and showcases the Suri fibre perfectly by finishing the cuff and waist edges without ribbing. The fit is extra wide with a boxy drop shoulder for a contemporary look, but its simplicity makes it a timeless classic.

What Makes Suri Cadigan Special

Suri Cardigan Horn button

Laser Engraved Horn Buttons

These buttons are crafted from cow horn sourced as a by-product of the food industry.

The laser-engraved Black Fist Logo symbolises revolution and unity and embodies our desire to challenge the conventional business model that prioritises financial profit over people and social justice.

Hand Sewn Leather Patches

Our iconic leather patches are hand-sewn for stitching reinforcement on both shoulders and cuffs. The leather used for this is also sourced from food industry by-products.

More than just a decorative element, this functional detail ensures longevity, allowing you to cherish your knitwear for years to come while reflecting our dedication to responsible production methods.
