Introducing our new designs for our Natural Pima cotton scarf collection
“Me, We”
A poem by Muhammad Ali, spoken impromptu during his lecture at Harvard University in 1975. Short but powerful and represents the spirit of “I am because we are”. A heartfelt reminder of being “less ME, and more WE” in these troubled times…

The Pima cotton material chosen for our scarf collection is a woven sateen fabric, which gives the hand feel and texture a silky and shiny appearance. The edges are cross-stitched so as not to spoil the elegance of the fabric. Cotton's natural ability to absorb and keep the skin dry, makes our cotton scarf perfect for the hot summer months.
This scarf is inspired by the iconic large red white and blue laundry bags. In African cultures these bags are known as ‘Ghana Must Go Bags’, a term that was first used in 1983 when a million Ghanaians had to leave Nigeria, they used the laundry bags to move back home. We love this print and colour way as it is nostalgic and iconic on a local level for people in inner city areas from London to Ghana to carry and store things. We have used a digital clock font that reminded us of the early eighties.
The phrase ‘Keep Ya Head Up’ is from a song by the rapper Tupac, we use words that link to heads and necks on these scarves as it is a playful way to connect culture and cloth.
